Ordered these for one of my grandsons who has some texture issues (shirt tags, too tight, etc.) but these were ordered in his age appropriate size and the fit was perfect. These are made of 100% polyester, and the weave is one that provides a very silky smooth soft hand that he just loves. I know it's a winner when he immediately starts rubbing his cheek with it and decides he wants to wear it right now.
Polyester is naturally hydrophobic, meaning that it does not absorb moisture, so along with the soft hand it also keeps from getting clingy from excess moisture when we sweat, which is why it has become de rigueur in the active wear market segment. It's also why it works so well for the little guy. When properly cared for polyester fabrics will provide years of good looking wear, maintaining their color well, as well as their shape and comfort.
That proper care is essentially to always wash on gentle cycle with a mild detergent in cold water, never ever use any bleach, and either line or flat dry, which is easy since it doesn't absorb moisture so there's hardly anything left to dry. For this set of three shirts I feel that the offering price is a very good value for the money, and the shirts will likely last longer than your little one will fit them.
3 pack short sleeve polo shirts. Ordered the red, grey and black shirts for my soon to be 8 year old. Good price for the pack. The fabric is that slick, 100% polyester fabric. Quality wise, overall good, I like that the sleeve have this nice finish. The front is a bit shorter than the back. I'm not sure, maybe that is intentional. Of course you can't really tell when the shirt in on. There were many loose threads on the shirts, hence why I took a star off. With better QC that could have been avoided. As far as fit goes, the shirts fit true to size. I got size 7-8 and it fits perfectly. This is a nice pack. Overall, I would say comparable to what you will find at the big box stores like walmart or target in both price and quality.
I would probably pass on these boys polo shirts. The quality and fit of these shirts leaves much to be desired. The material is extremely thin, which may be advantageous for summer comfort, but you can see through them when held up to the light. Additionally, the collars are also very thin and do not hold their shape well as a result. Some of the stitched seams on the collars are not straight, with up to 3/8" deviation over a short distance (see photos). There are loose threads all over the place as well. I ordered the 7-8Y size and found that they are not shaped like an average child of that age group. The cut is very boxy; too wide and too short. The colors are vibrant and hold up to washing just fine. Overall, these shirts are just not very good, even if they are inexpensive.
This is a nice 100% Polyester polo t-shirt. It's a bit thin but breathable for active boys. It's my son prefectly.
I ordered these short sleeve polo style shirts for my nephew for the summer, to wear to church and to parties.
Pros: The colors are vibrant, and you get 1 each of red, white, and blue. The buttons are secure. The polyester material is cool and breathable. The price seems great for 3 shirts.
Cons: The shirts are very thin and the white is see through. (They would be fine with a base layer, though.) The blue shirt was against the white shirt inside the package and the white shirt has a big square of blue on it from where the coloring has transferred to it. I still have to see if it comes out in the wash. The stitching is ok, but not great. Some of the buttons have a tangled knot of string on the back. The collars don’t stay flat due to the polyester material being thin. The shirts seem cheaply made and mass produced without enough attention to detail.
Overall, these shirts would be a great value if the material was nicer. But I can’t recommend them for the use stated in the ad (school uniforms) because they are not the quality needed and I don’t think they will hold up to repeated wear.
