I've been looking for a pair of boots for my daughter to use while ridding her horse, that didn't cost a lot, especially how fast kids grow. These happened to show up for review, so I took the chance on them. I'm glad I did. I got her normal size she wears in her tennis shoes, and these fit perfectly. I've tried a few pair, only to send them back because they didn't fit as they should have, but not these. The heel lift is about an inch and a half, but there is sole only has about a half inch catch. Perfect for riding. She was able to get them on with no issues and the elastic closes down so the boots are not knocking around her ankle. There is a decent amount of padding inside (not winter worthy) and she did not have issues walking in them. WIN!! The toe is stiff, while the rest of the boot is softer, so the toes are protected. The tread on them is not very deep, but again, it works for riding. These are a win for riding, dress up or school. Not really foot wear for outside play. They also come in a thick bag with handles, I find this great, as I can have my daughter change shoes when going to or leaving the horse, and have a place to keep the boots in without tracking the yuck from the barn all over. I'll be purchasing another pair for my other daughter too. UPDATE: My daughter got to use these on a very icy muddy day. Her feet stayed dry and warm, even while walking in puddles that came over the top of her foot (about 3-4 inches deep). She was very happy with them and said her feet were comfortable the whole time.

Great little boots for the price. A bit hard to slide that foot in, but at 8 yr old she’s capable. They are marking, we have light floors and I can see the marks left behind.

Just the style of boots I was looking for, the material is good, comfortable. I recommend measuring the foot, in my case my daughter has a little longer her foot and it helps me to have something to measure it before buying.
